Charles City Aeronautics, Inc. d/b/a North Iowa Air Service in Mason City and Charles City, Iowa, and Central Iowa Air Service in Ames, Iowa, is pleased to announce they have reached a new contract agreement with the City of Ames to continue operation as Central Iowa Air Service at the Ames Municipal Airport.
The new contract the City of Ames is a 15-year contract with a 15-year extension. Central Iowa Air Service (CIAS) offers AV Gas / Jet fuel services; flight instruction; charter operations; aircraft maintenance; aircraft sales, rental and storage, and much more.
“Central Iowa Air Service and the City of Ames have become wonderful partners who have grown the airport and clientele over the past 5 years,” said William R. Kyle, President of Charles City Aeronautics. “The team at CIAS is a tremendous asset to our company and the City of Ames.”
“We are extremely pleased with this contract and partnership” said Todd Kyle, NIAS / CIAS Vice President. “This contract extension not only allows us to continue in Ames, but to increase our investment into the airport and the Ames community. We look forward to expanding our operations with additional buildings, a Part 141 flight school in conjunction with local colleges and universities, additional aircraft and much more over the coming years.”
CIAS currently employs 15 full and part time people and operates out of the main terminal building at the Ames Municipal Airport (2520 Airport Drive, Ames, Iowa).
